Feed by Like – Akshaya Patra’s latest social media campaign


Can you make a difference in a child’s life through your Facebook profile? Yes.  Through ‘Feed by Like’ campaign launched on 11th November, marking the birthdate of the Foundation, Akshaya Patra is urging social media users to Like their Facebook page. In response to each Like, a sponsor will donate one meal to The Akshaya Patra Foundation, helping to improve the lives of children in India.

By ‘Liking’ Akshaya Patra’s Facebook page participants will get the satisfaction of knowing that they have directly contributed to improving another human beings life, and they will also keep up to date on the events and activities of The Akshaya Patra Foundation. From yearly photography and blogging competitions, to Teacher’s Day celebrations, volunteering events and more, Akshaya Patra is a great place for people of any age to interact with new people, and give back to society at the same time.

The Feed by Like campaign works by word of mouth, and Akshaya Patra is depending on its well-wishers to spread the word of its cause, and help this campaign gain momentum. Through this campaign, Akshaya Patra is hoping to reach out to a wide network of interested donors, volunteers, corporates and other interested parties to spread awareness of the Foundation’s work – provide food for education to children in need.
